If you have ever heard the expression “it’s not for the birds” it certainly isn’t if you want to be happy. Happiness is not something you acquire from outside of yourself, happiness comes from within. Once again, this is about mindset.
Usually people go between states of emotions. You can be happy for a short period and then you find yourself thinking about something that makes you feel stressed. Even people who seem happy all the time go through changes in emotion. People like this are more likely to be content. However it’s very rare for people to be happy all the time. It’s important to learn this concept so you don’t put too much pressure on yourself when you see others who seem to be constantly happy.
The last 12-18 months has been challenging for most people and, I don’t personally know anyone who would consider that they have been really happy during this time. So, what can you do to change this thinking?
First think about what you have in life. Are you in good health? If you are not then perhaps this is a key area to focus on. Maybe you need to change what you’ve been eating so you eat healthier food. Perhaps you can incorporate exercise into your routine. It’s not necessary to become a gym rat to get in shape. You can become healthier just by adding 15 minutes of walking into your daily schedule.
It’s rare to find happy people that don’t have any friends. I think we found, during the last year or so, that socializing is a big factor in keeping people emotionally stable. You don’t need dozens of friends. If you have a couple of good friends that you can trust for when you’re going through a rough time or to have fun with that’s all that’s necessary. Because it’s been so difficult for people to get together, connecting on social media, zoom or face-book is good until you are able to see people in person, which of course is the best way.
One of the easiest ways to change the way you think is through hypnotherapy which I have used with my clients for many years. I am not a stage hypnotist, I am a master certified clinical hypnotherapist and I help with a variety of challenges. If you are dealing with unwanted weight, sleepless nights, anxiety, stress overwhelm or fears plus a plethora of other unwanted thoughts or behaviors you don’t have to suffer. “I have been doing hypnosis with Hazel for a couple of months now. I was totally skeptical about the whole hypnosis concept and really didn't believe I could be hypnotized. Not only can I be hypnotized, but it really works!!!!! I have made great strides in my personal growth since working with Hazel. She really knows what she is doing. If you have any areas in your life where you are stuck or insecure, please give Hazel and her amazing skills a try. You won't be sorry you tried something new. Hazel is also a certified business/life coach, with so much knowledge and experience behind her, Hazel is truly a gem among the rest.” Heather Priamos. “When I started doing stand-up comedy my stage fright was limiting my performance. I had anxiety about performing in front of strangers. My comedy coach recommended Hazel Palache who is a hypnotherapist. Now I can’t wait until it is my turn to go on stage no matter the size of the audience. I liken the feeling to being in a boxing match with an opponent I know I can easily defeat and I can’t wait to show off my new skills.” – Carl Watts, Ventura County. CA
