It almost seems unbelievable that it’s the last month of this year. I know that the last 18 months or so has been really tough for some people and I also think that the way business is done has changed to fit more into a digital world. More people working from home and more people learning how to build a new business so now is perhaps a good time to decide what you want to do going forward.
One of the biggest things I think it’s taught us is that it’s important to be flexible so that if necessary we can make changes. I also know that a lot of people don’t like change and even the word itself makes you uncomfortable. However, whatever is going on in the world doesn’t have to affect you so I want you to look at change as something good and exciting in your world.
Whatever dreams you may have put on the back burner, with only one month left in this year perhaps it’s time to take them out, dust them off and ask yourself if you are living the life you had envisioned 3-5years ago.
If you are not, I encourage you to take a look at what might be blocking you.
Although change can be scary, more often than not it’s coming from some kind of fear. I’m no different than you are, I’ve been a business/life coach for nearly 30 years and I made some changes this year that will affect what I do in 2022 so, I had a few old demons come up too.
However, I had to challenge my thinking, I looked at the pros and cons and then I took action to clear them so I could move forward. You can do this too!
Don’t just make yourself busy because you won’t find it very productive, in fact, it’s just another way to procrastinate because it’s easier.
If you step out of your comfort zone “What’s the worst thing that can happen?” Once you get it out into the open it’s usually not nearly as catastrophic as you thought it would be.
I invite you to close your eyes and imagine what could happen if you just take a leap of faith.
Imagine it’s December 31st, 2021 and you’re standing with a glass of your favorite drink celebrating the New Year that’s coming. You are feeling joy and gratitude because the world seems to be settling down, so now you can think about moving into 2022 perhaps making your goals even bigger.
Really feel the feelings, imagine the colors around you and drink in all the excitement, make it appear as real as possible so your subconscious picks up the images. Then open your eyes and tell yourself you CAN achieve whatever you wish.
Take the time at some point to write down any changes you would like to make by December 2022 including your financial goals so you know where you’re going. Start thinking of the actions you can take to get there and write those down too. Take it one month at a time and only do one thing at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed.
There are dozens of ways to create visibility. If your mindset is in the right place and you have the planning done so you know what actions you need to take, you can move forward without getting overwhelmed.
Take a little time before the end of this year, get out your calendar and start putting in the goals you want to achieve by December 2022 so you are ready. This doesn’t mean you have to do so many things that you won’t enjoy the holidays! It might just be to take 20 minutes to create the actions needed for the first quarter of 2022.
At the beginning of January put all the actions on the calendar that you intend to take for that month so you can start moving along the path to achieving your December 2022 vision. Then plan out the month one week at a time. Do this at the beginning of each month and watch the results and money flow in.
Remember the saying “A goal not written is just a wish” so having a written plan is one of the most important things you can do if you want to create success.
Don’t let it take you 12 years to achieve what you could achieve in 12 months or sooner.
“Til Next Time
Have a fabulous week.
