This seemed like a very apt quote given what the world has gone through during the last year.
Most people have learned from the pandemic that there’s no guarantee about the future. However if you learn to live in the present moment it gives you the power to live your best life to the fullest, every moment of the day.
We’re now half way through this year and things are starting to get back to a new normal. This is a good time to ask yourself if you can let go of any anxiety or fear you may still be carrying so that you can really enjoy each moment of every day.
What does “living in the moment” mean?
To live in the moment means you are consciously aware of your present and you are actually using all your senses. It means you aren’t worrying about the past or about what the future will be.
When you concentrate on being present, you focus your attention on whatever is going on at any given moment. You give it your full attention and allow yourself to let go of worrying about the outcome. Seizing the moment allows you to make each one more meaningful and valuable, savoring every minute for quality over quantity of time.
You may still need to plan, set goals and prepare for the future. But you can do all these things and still enjoy living in the moment perhaps with a little excitement about moving forward.
Too often we put enormous expectations on ourselves. We don’t stop and think about where we are, so we miss the point of being there. However with the power of living in the now we learn to appreciate each moment. We are living consciously, purposefully and responsibly.
On the other hand, when we live in the past and hang onto painful experiences or challenging times, we are condemning ourselves to living the same way now and in the future. Coming to terms with the past, knowing that it’s gone and you can’t change it, helps you to let go of anxiety and to move on.
Living in the now means you’re positive and optimistic in the present leaving you open to the possibility of promising positive things as you move forward.
The power of living in the now also allows you to begin to notice the beauty and wonder of the things around you. You learn how to focus and manage your energy. This is just one of the benefits of living in the now.

Live life with abundance
P.S. I’ve been hearing that even though we are now going into a period of time that brings a new normal, that people are still very anxious and afraid and if you allow it, often the fear will sabotage any plans you have for the future. In light of this I have opened a few times on my calendar for 30 minute complimentary calls to chat about how you can release any anxiety or fear you may still have. All you have to do is email me and we will set up a time that works for you. Hazel@LiveYourAbundantLife.com.
