When I saw this quote it seemed very appropriate at present. People give up so much when they stay angry and on this topic I also speak from experience. Until I learned where the anger was coming from and changed the way I was thinking, I rarely felt really happy.
Happiness is a state of being, and although you might have flashes of real joy, if anger takes over more often than not, you are putting out the flame and stopping yourself from being happy. There might be times that you feel anger at a given situation but if you hold onto it, you actually hurt yourself.
Whether your anger is from the past or it comes from present circumstances, I encourage you to work on releasing it. If you don’t have someone you can talk too, get a journal and write down what you are feeling and why, then ask yourself how much difference it would make to your life if you just let it go. You deserve to be happy.
